Time | Activity |
8:30am– 8:45am | Children enter the classroom. Children respond to marking comments in books from the previous day. Children who do not have a marking comment to respond to, complete individual work on their individual writing and/or maths targets. |
8:45am | Register taken. |
8:50am | Children go into assembly. |
9:15am | Start of guided reading or phonics session. Handwriting or intervention programmes for Literacy and Maths are led by TAs in this time. |
9:45am | Start of Session 1 – Literacy or Mathematics. |
10:45am | Playtime. |
11:00am | Start of Session 2 – Literacy or Mathematics. |
12 midday | Lunchtime. |
12:55pm | Children return to classrooms. |
1:00pm | Start of Session 3. |
2:00pm | Start of Session 4. |
3:15pm | End of formal teaching time. |
3:20pm | End of the school day. Children collect their coats and personal belongings in readiness to go home. Children collected from the appropriate door. Year 5 and Year 6 can walk home independently. |
